Ahrakoon: Monster Inspired By The Modern Bestiary

Ahrakoon

Goblins, orcs, ogres [GO&O] and other demihumanoid rodent-rabble are commonly known for their unhygienic practices and crowded dwellings. Their apparent lack of selfcare is suavely remedied by entrepreneurial Ahrakoon.  Once the GO&O have endured parasites, plugged pores and caked detritus, they will find a small family unit of these affable folk near their doorstep. They are conveniently requesting to set up at a cleaning and parasite-eating service. One complimentary demonstration on the local bigwig later and the Ahrakoon have secured protection and a stable source of food.

Ahrakoon rarely bear any allegiance to their clients beyond lipservice [aha a double entendre]. When hostiles approach they will attempt to optimize their reputation, the lifeblood of their business model, with assurances of mutual defense. They will make their way to the rear, protesting their lack of combat prowess, and take flight at the first sight of defeat. NOTE that they will modify their behavior when the hostiles are another group of potential clients. In this case they will meekly fight, surrender, and then just one demonstration to the new bigwig later…

Easy to identify by their sleek silver scales on black keratin plates and thick colorful stripes running from the eyes to the fingertips. Around 2-4ft tall. The disjointed mouths of Ahrakoon can be flattened against a client for maximal coverage; they deploy a set of esophageal pincers for precise incisions.
